Cite My Source (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides tools that help users generate citations and reference lists for academic and informational purposes.

3) Using the Service

The Service is intended to help format citations, but citation rules vary by institution and may change over time. We do not guarantee that every generated citation will be error-free or accepted by your instructor, publisher, or institution.
You are responsible for reviewing generated citations and ensuring they meet your requirements.
5) Academic integrity
Cite My Source is a formatting tool. It does not encourage academic misconduct. You are responsible for using citations appropriately and following your institution’s academic integrity policies.
6) Intellectual property
The Site, Service, and all related content (including text, design, logos, software, and trademarks) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable laws.
You may use the Service for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Site or Service except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
7) User content
You may submit information into the citation tool (such as titles, author names, URLs, or publication details). You retain rights to the content you submit.
